Vocational Activities
Vocational Services is one of the areas of focus we have has a charitable organisation.

As an organisation we strive to ensure:

  • High ethical standards in business and professions;
  • The recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and
  • The dignifying of each member's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

So it is our collective efforts and behaviours within their vocations and business to
  • foster and guide adherence to honesty, accountability, fairness, integrity and respect  with all employers, employees, associates, competitors and the public;
  • take the opportunity individually and collectively to contribute their vocational talents to the problems and needs of society.

The Rotary National Science & Technology Forum is an annual event which celebrated 30th Anniversary in 2019.

In essence, high achieving, end of Year 12 Science, Mathematics & Technology students at secondary schools across New Zealand are recommended to apply for the opportunity to attend the Forum by their Heads of Science.  Their applications are submitted to a local Rotary Club who is assigned to be responsible for managing the applications.  The most suitable students are  identified and interviewed by Rotary whereafter a final selection is made at Rotary District Level.  Successful students are then advised they have been awarded the opportunity to attend the Forum.
