The audience this year will be treated to a feast of music performed by some of our finest young opera singers. Four have the potential for international careers – Natasha Wilson, Manase Latu, Ipu Laga’aia and Samson Setu – so have been selected for The Kiri Te Kanawa Singer Development Programme. The ticket price includes a meal of the best canapes, fine wine, the charity auction, and a tax-deductible donation to Rotary’s charities.
There are many exciting lots in the charity auction. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa has donated three personal items – including a beautiful bottle of her own perfume. You could win a helicopter ride down Transmission Gully; a dinner for eight at home by famed Hippopotamus chef Laurent Loudeac; or become a hospital surgeon for the morning in a simulated operation and training in the air ambulance flight simulator.
