A big thankyou to Pearl Newman RSE Ltd; RYDA Coordinator extraordinaire. Welcome to our new Road Safety Education Ltd; Lower North Island RYDA Coordinator, Natalie Alabaster, and welcome aboard Tararua College as our newest RYDA College  - supported by Pahiatua Rotary - taking place at Tararua College on 9 August 2019!!
The District 9940 RYDA programme is very fortunate to be managed by Road safety Education Ltd  (RSE Ltd;) people who are absolutely passionate about their work and the role that RYDA has in our community.
Over the past few years, those Rotary clubs and schools that have participate in RYDA, have really appreciated the dedication, expertise and support of Pearl Newman as The RSE Ltd; Lower North Island Coordinator. Pearl would travel all the way down from Whangarei to ensure that our programmes were well organised and set to go. What a commitment!! Pearl is now focusing here energy on the Upper North island RYDA programmes.
Just recently I met with Pearl's replacement and I am sure that RYDA will continue to be delivered as the outstanding Driver Awareness Programme that it is. Welcome Natalie Alabaster. Natalie lives in Upper Hutt so is very well situated for our District 9940 RYDA programmes.
The District 9940 RYDA team really looks forward to supporting you Natalie.
There have been some clusters and clubs who have already shown interest in initiating the RYDA programme in their area. Please ensure that you re - contact me to confirm that interest. RSE is trying to bring these clubs on as soon as physically possible but it does take time and a lot of organising. Ron Schalkwijk, Palmerston North  Rotary, has also a coordinating RYDA role for the Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki Areas. IN the meantime if clubs can contact their local colleges to promote RYDA, that would be a great start.
