Julia Froetschl (Committee member and past RYLA participant) has just come back from an amazing weekend at the RYLA National Forum in Brisbane.
It was a fantastic opportunity to learn and share ideas of RYLA programmes held in Australia and New Zealand.

What exciting changes will we make to the 2020 programme?

Hutt Valley Rotary is honoured to be delivering the RYLA programme for the Lower North Island (District 9940) and to be part of the wider RYLA network.

On June 15th-16th 2019 I was lucky enough to represent RYLA 9940 as a committee member at the RYLA Regional Leaders Forum in Brisbane, Australia, with 31 other RYLA leaders from 15 districts across Australia, including 2 from New Zealand.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet and share ideas with such a fantastic group of RYLA leaders and see what magic can be created when people with shared values and a passion for RYLA come together!
Our discussions ranged from leader training, corporate partnerships, enhancing stakeholder relationships, leadership certifications, and RYLA alumni engagement among many more hot topics.
Each RYLA district added special insights from their unique programmes and it was fantastic to see the differences and similarities between us and the ‘gold’ we could share with each other to take all our programmes, and RYLA across Oceania to the next level!

The next step is to harness the energy and ideas that came from this forum and implement them into our programme here in 9940 so we can keep delivering the best programme we can to our young leaders in New Zealand.
