We were delighted that four Rotarians from 9940 were able to take part in the annual national RLI (Rotary Leadership Institute) Facilitator training in Auckland in March.  This is an excellent two day training opportunity focused primarily on providing participants with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate RLI training courses in their own District.  Helen Algar (Wellington), Claire Matthews (pictured, ADG Manawatu 2), Roger Buchanan (ADG Manawatu 1) and Colin Jackson (past ADG Taranaki 1) were the recent attendees.

John Mohi and I are encouraging of our Assistant Governors in becoming trained RLI facilitators, supporting our vision of the increasingly important role of AGs in their reach within and across Clusters supporting the needs of Clubs, and also in their role as District Board members.

RLI Co Chair Lee Wilkinson and I are delighted that we are now extending our reach and in March we facilitated an RLI workshop in Wellington for a dozen enthusiastic Rotaractors, keen to expand their leadership skills and broaden their understanding of the wider world of Rotary. We're keen to offer this workshop to Rotaractors in other parts of the District. Huge thanks to Madison Faber, current President of Wellington Rotaract Club, for her energy in initiating this. We look forward to involving our newly trained facilitators in training opportunities for all who wish to expand their knowledge and involvement in Rotary. Keep the date free to join us when we come to YOUR part of our District.
