The Diabetes NZ Fitbit MoveMeant Challenge is back for 2018!

With the help from our champion sponsor Fitbit, and some of our famous and influential friends, this month the MoveMeant Challenge is set to be bigger than ever! The aim is to out-step your competitors for the champion title. Participants will help raise awareness of Diabetes NZ and help drive fundraising efforts.

We have a big line up this year with returning and new participants. The competition runs over three weeks with four groups, two groups of business leaders and two groups of media. One group of leaders and one group of media compete each week. The top stepper from each group goes through to final round in the third week for the champion round.

New for 2018 is a fundraising element, which Sir Eion Edgar is heading on our behalf, the business leaders will be encouraging their connections, family and friends to get behind Diabetes NZ.  Sir Eion has already thrown the gauntlet down be setting the target of $100,000 https://givealittle.co.nz/event/diabetesnzfitbitmovemeantchallenge-18

Each participant has recieved a Fitbit Ionic device and their daily steps will uploaded into a challenge dashboard, which in turn will be commuicated via social media. Anytime Fitness is also assisting with the challenge and each participant has recieved a member key fob, for the month of February.

The overall aim of the challenge is to raise awareness of diabetes, the ways is can be prevented, delayed, and managed.  The communication campagin will be active across Fitbit, Anytime Fitness, competitors and Diabetes NZ social media.  Follow their progress via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/diabetesnz/ and/or instragram https://www.instagram.com/diabetes_nz/  Please share this across your social media platforms, as we will be running competitions for our followers to be in for the chance to win a Fitbit.
