Kia ora Rotarians
Nothing has slowed down as we get closer to the new Rotary year.
My current focus is on District and club changeovers, the District Directory, our Survey on Training needs, and the Rotary 100 launch at Government House on 20 June 2019.
Changeovers.
The District and Wellington North Rotary Changeover is on 7 July, 2019 at the Wharewaka on the Wellington waterfront.  It is open to all on a first come basis.  See District 9940 website for booking.
We have the Ngati Poneke Maori Club to entertain us as well as our speaker Dr Stephen Clarke, the Rotary 100 historian.  These two are not to be missed.  Come along and enjoy the luncheon.

Very importantly  -   all the best for your club Changeovers taking place around the District from now until early July.  I look forward to seeing some interesting stories about them in our District Bulletin

 HELP!  District Directory 2019-20 (DD19-20).
This publication needs your help now.  I need your help now.  Many of our members use this publication on a regular basis so it is important that we have the information correct.
The DD 19-20 is both a hard copy publication that must be as accurate as we can make it, and an electronic copy which can be updated periodically.  The hard copy cannot!
All Chairs of Committees, Presidents, and featured members cited in DD19-20 need to be satisfied their information for the new Rotary year is correct.  If it is the same as the current directory, confirm it.
If it is not – update it now.  Yes, now, today!
To do that send both me john.mohi@xtra.co.nz , and Fiona Brown Fiona.brown@xtra.co.nz  a note with the correct information, by return email.  That will assist us enormously.  If we need more we will come back to you, or ask again.

Survey of Training Needs
As your DGE I ask, you to please support the upcoming District 9940 Survey of Training needs.
I specifically ask that all Assistant Governors, District Chairs and District Leaders support all Club leadership, and through them all members to complete our NEEDS Survey.  We need to gain feedback for planning the Learning and Development initiatives for the 2019/20 year.  The training team will provide us all with prioritised NEEDS Survey feedback.
Please put this as an item on your next Club meeting, and Board agendas.
Feedback will be collated for us by the leaders of the training team, Mitch Brown mitch.brown@xtra.co.nz  and Roger Buchanan rebuch.pn@gmail.com .

Rotary 100
On 20 June 2019 the six Rotary districts of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands will begin with a launch of our centennial celebrations.
There is an invitation only event for 250 Rotarians and featured leaders at Government House in Wellington.  The Rotary Give Every Child a Future leaders, the Rotary 100 history team – Mana Tangata, People of Action, and the team working on a plan for Rotary to plant 1.0m+ trees over the next few years will all be in attendance.  So too will Pacific Diplomatic representatives and Pacific Island leaders.
This event will be featured in the August issue of Rotary Down Under, our very own Australasian magazine and also in our District 9940 Bulletin.
Be sure to look out for it.

Kia manawanui
