RLI – Rotary Leadership Institute

Developing Rotarians as leaders for the future

by providing Rotary Learning and Information

RLI is a multi-district leadership programme. It is offered around the world, with the mission to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education.   The programmes provide the opportunity for all Rotarians to develop and refresh their skills as leaders while also broadening their understanding about Rotary.

The programmes are fun, interactive, in a series of hands-on sessions designed to provide Rotary knowledge and develop leadership skills.

District 9940 offers two levels of programmes - RLI 101 and RLI Advanced.

RLI 101

We bring the programme to you with four sessions in different parts of the District
This is a four-hour programme, aimed at
  • Newer members, who just need a nudge on to real engagement with Rotary.
  • Longer standing members who have never quite ‘got’ Rotary.  These are people who come to your regular meetings and not much else. RLI can propel them into far better engagement.
Participants can network with Rotarians from other clubs, as well as learning about the opportunities for personal growth and community involvement offered through Rotary. Topics include:
  • Leadership opportunities in Rotary
  • The wider Rotary world, how to get the most out of it
  • Applying Rotary ethics in their professions
  • Engaging members
RLI 101 Programmes this year are:
9.00 – 1.30 pm.  Cost is $25.00 per head and most clubs cover this cost for their members. Lunch is provided.
Wellington        12 August
New Plymouth  26 August
Whanganui        9 September
Wairarapa          23 September
