Very Important Information

          Vanuatu

 
 
 
The information below has recently been sent to all Australian Rotary Clubs from RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service) .
 
"The Government in Vanuatu has advised that ALL future Projects in Vanuatu MUST have the approval of the Government Department concerned. If that approval has not been granted BEFORE the volunteers arrive in Vanuatu, THEY WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY AND WILL BE SENT BACK HOME.
In case there are any teams that choose to simply enter Vanuatu as tourists and then undertake locally arranged Project work, they can be fined up to US$12K each as well as face a jail sentence for illegal declaration and entry to Vanuatu.

District Grants
Don't forget
 
The final day to email your application for a District Grant is 31 May.  Any applications received after that date cannot be accepted.
The documents that you need can be retrieved from your Club President or in the Documents section of the District Website.  You will need to use your email and password to access the Members only section of the District Website.  As long as your name and email is recorded correctly in the website you can access the members only section.  If you need assistance, speak to your Club Secretary first.

The Board of Directors of RI, the general secretary acting on its behalf, in
accordance with Article 22, Section 2, of the Standard Rotary Club
Constitution has approved the club’s name to be changed from the Rotary
Club of New Plymouth, New Zealand, to Rotary Club of Ngamotu, Taranaki,
New Zealand.
