Rotary Leadership Institute
The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) courses provide the opportunityfor new members to start their Rotary journey with a broadunderstanding about Rotary that is practical and useful to enable them becoming as engaged in Rotary as they choose.

No knowledge of Rotary or great experience is needed, just enthusiasm to participate. RLI also provides opportunities for leaders to develop and refresh their skills to become the inspired leaders they have the potential to be. Presidents, Presidents elect and Presidents Nominee and their club leadership teams, plus Assistant Governors and District Committee Chairs are also strongly encouraged to attend. A typical RLI course will include both long-serving and new Rotarians.

RLI is a grass-roots, multi-district programme well established worldwide whose mission is to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education.

The courses are fun and interactive with three different day-long parts (focusing on the Rotarian, the club, and then my Rotary journey) taken at the participant’s pace, designed to provide both general Rotary knowledge and develop leadership skills.

Class size is limited to maximize the benefits of these discussion-based workshops.

There is also a subsequent one day RLI Graduate course that focuses on transforming your Rotary club to become extraordinary with new possibilities and opportunities. It’s a new approach to creating extraordinary Rotarians!

Enthusiastic RLI graduates return to their clubs with fresh ideas, new tools, new contacts, an increased understanding of their potential as Rotarians, plus an increased motivation for Rotary service! Many of the new ideas, concepts and skills learned are also beneficial in RLI graduates’ business and personal lives.

RLI courses are organised by the District RLI Chair, with the assistance of the Rotary Leadership Institute, NZ and Pacific Islands Division. RLI courses complement but do not replace the current job-specific Rotary training (that includes Presidents elect Training Seminars and Leaders elect Training Seminar / District Training Assembly).

Did you know that you can put your hand up at any time to join an RLI course? So what about registering for the next RLI intake via your District RLI Chair or training contact:
