John Heremia Mohi (Lane)
 
John Heremia Mohi is married to Lane and a member of the Wellington North Rotary Club. He joined Rotary in 1997 and was Club President in 2014-15.
 
In 1988-89 John was a Rotary International Scholar at Purdue University, IN, USA where he completed an MSc. He was nominated by the Wellington North Club andsupported by District 9940.

John is a member of Te Whanau-a-Apanui iwi from the Eastern Bay of Plenty. He has been a teacher and education adviser of deaf and hearing impaired learners. From 1989-1996 he was a manager of Special Education Services in the Waikato area. From there he joined the National Library of New Zealand as a Director he was responsible for leading the responsiveness to Maori plan, Pasifika links, Property and Services and several other initiatives.

John was the Deputy Chair and a member of the National Commission for UNESCO New Zealand for several years and the Chairperson of the Culture and the Communications Sub-commissions. He has represented UNESCO both nationally and internationally. John is looking forward to his year as the District Governor Nominee.
